Job Summary:
Our client, a highly respected and employee-owned general contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage diverse, large-scale commercial and multi-family ground-up construction projects ranging from $1 million to $10 million.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and coordinate all phases of complex commercial and multi-family ground-up projects from inception to completion
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure project satisfaction and ongoing partnerships
• Lead project planning, execution, scheduling, budgeting, and close-out activities
• Manage and mentor construction crews, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to meet project specifications
• Contribute to strategic planning meetings and provide insights on project execution and delivery
• Uphold and promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
• Manage public and private sector projects, including design-build, pre-engineered building contracts, and public tender calls
Qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years of project management experience in commercial construction or multi-family ground-up builds (not tenant improvements)
• Diploma or Degree: CET required, P.Eng is preferred
• Proficiency in construction management software (Procore), AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong technical knowledge of building envelopes, pre-engineered buildings, and design-build contracts
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized approach with excellent decision-making skills
• Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) and a mentoring, team-focused mindset
• Experience working for mid-sized general contractors is an asset
Additional Details:
• Hours: Monday to Friday, In-Office
• Travel: Site visits, mostly with the Edmonton area
• Start Date: ASAP
