Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) is the leading independent clearing broker and custodian in the Canadian market. We provide trade execution, clearing, custody, and back-office support services to Canadian-based brokerage firms and the Canadian brokerage arms of U.S.-based firms.
What You Will Do
- Create and maintain wire templates to ensure banking information is accurate
- Book daily bank transactions such as EFT credits/debits, deposits, incoming and outgoing payments
- Work with various departments in Operations, Credit, Compliance, and Finance to manage EFT, PAC, and wire payments
- Responsible for the daily and monthly bank/control account reconciliation of Canadian, USD, and FX accounts to ensure activities are posted accurately, resolve unmatched items, and review stale-dated cheques
- Maintain Kyriba GL/budget code mapping
- Communicate with brokers to resolve unmatched items and perform investigations
- Interact with internal business units and banks/vendors to resolve payment/receipt queries and system issues
- Issue cheques, EFTs, wires, and deposits
- Monitor payment file transmissions and upload positive bank files for payee match review
- Review billing files and upload to Billing Management System
- Coordinate trade settlement instructions to ensure proper payment
- Respond to audit inquiries and liaise with banks and auditors regarding bank balances and adjustments
- Identify process improvements
- Provide excellent customer service, promptly resolve issues, and work collaboratively with team members
- Demonstrate ownership and commitment to achieving results
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in financial services, preferably in banking
- Knowledge of Bloomberg is an asset
- 3-year post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- CTP or similar certification is an asset
