Job Overview
Reporting to the Regional Sales Director Canada, the Business Development Manager for Assurant Vehicle Protection Services will focus on growing relationships through prospecting and promoting F\&I revenue opportunities to new dealer partners. Additionally, the role involves supporting existing automotive dealership partners within the assigned territory, ensuring excellent dealer and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include F\&I product training, sales and claims support, market research, and business strategy development. This is a remote position based in Toronto.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain relationships with existing dealer partners within the assigned territory.
- Conduct regular in-person visits and training sessions with dealer partners, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and follow-up.
- Develop strategic growth plans for product development and sales within assigned dealer partners.
- Work with dealer partners to forecast sales targets and margins to meet or exceed goals.
- Build and maintain strong communication channels with prospective dealer partners.
- Present products and services to new and existing dealerships to foster business development.
- Ensure ongoing sales and claims training for dealership staff on current and new products.
- Respond promptly to dealer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal departments to provide excellent customer service to dealer partners.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Automotive Industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Automotive F\&I products and services is preferred.
- Experience in Business Development, especially in F\&I Dealer Services or Automotive B2B sales, is an asset.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory for in-person support and prospecting.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, achieving results under pressure.
- Strong skills in sales, prospecting, and relationship building.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with software such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Teams, Zoom.
