Job Summary
Title: Database and Platform Coordinator
Location: Hybrid; primarily remote, with occasional travel to Toronto Provincial Office or regional offices
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000/year
Duration: One-year contract

Position Summary
The Database and Platform Specialist ensures the secure, efficient, and reliable maintenance of Autism Ontario's customer relationship management database. Responsibilities include managing, maintaining, and optimizing databases, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors, and supporting various platforms used by the organization. This role is ideal for a problem solver with a passion for technology and a desire to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and manage infrastructure for the CRM database and associated platforms.
- Troubleshoot issues, oversee system updates, and implement enhancements.
- Monitor platform performance, set objectives, and report to the IT and Systems Manager.
- Support fundraising, awareness, and marketing campaigns within the CRM in collaboration with the Communications team.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., PIPEDA, GDPR) and CRA guidelines, maintaining data integrity and security.
- Develop queries, reports, and dashboards to analyze data across various departments.
- Work with IT and program leads to identify needs and resolve technical challenges.
- Conduct audits and implement best practices for data management.
- Support external payment processors for donations, including reconciliation procedures.
- Manage membership data and develop infrastructure for prospective donor pipelines.
- Maintain stakeholder databases for targeted outreach.
- Provide insights through fundraising metrics and ensure integration between CRM and financial systems.
- Train staff on CRM systems such as HubSpot, Civi-CRM, WordPress.
- Support events and programs, which may require after-hours or weekend work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or diploma in Database Management, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Experience with CRM platforms like Civi-CRM, HubSpot, WordPress, Zoho Desk, or Eventbrite.
- Proficiency in SQL, data queries, and analytics.
- Understanding of data privacy laws and best practices.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience training staff on systems.
- Adaptability to changing needs and technologies.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and anti-ableism.
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
