As the TES Construction Manager, you are a customer-obsessed leader in Amazon's construction process. You play an integral role in implementing the facility network infrastructure, including sortation centers, delivery stations, and auxiliary buildings. Your projects encompass new builds, retrofits, and expansions. You will perform detailed reviews of budgets and schedules, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and successful project delivery. Key competencies include maintaining high standards, coaching team members, influencing stakeholders, and innovating processes across multiple projects and locations. This role involves approximately 60% travel within North America.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising safety programs across projects
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Ensuring skills of contract labor match project needs
- Operating independently and resolving issues with stakeholders
- Tracking budgets, schedules, and cash flow
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and coordinating with authorities
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders
A typical day involves:
- Site management and contractor coordination
- Ensuring contractual obligations are met
- Implementing environmentally friendly solutions
- Using Amazon information systems for updates
- Negotiating contracts and participating in project meetings

Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 5+ years in relevant roles
- Project management experience from design to operation
- Experience negotiating contracts
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/BIM and scheduling software
Preferred qualifications: Experience across multiple construction disciplines, successful communication with diverse audiences, project management of concurrent projects, PMP certification, and bilingual skills in French and English.
