Responsibilities
- Perform duties related to electrical, instrumentation, and controls at designated Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities, including installation, programming, activation, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of electrical, electronic, instrumentation, control, communication, and computer equipment.
- Develop and maintain predictive analysis and preventative maintenance schedules. Prepare and provide comprehensive documentation of construction, inspection, commissioning, operation, and maintenance work.
- Maintain knowledge and skills in changing technology related to equipment installed or available for LNG facilities.
- Provide direction to other employees and external contractors regarding work performed at or in support of the plant.
- Contribute to project planning related to work at or in support of the plant and be responsible for executing such plans.
- May be required to provide on-call/standby coverage.
Requirements
- Dual ticket requirement of one of the following: Instrumentation and Control Technician (Industrial Instrument Mechanic) and Industrial Electrician Certificate of Qualification; OR Instrument Technologist and Industrial Electrician Certificate of Qualification.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an industrial Electrician, including work with 480V and higher, UPS systems, high voltage Substation equipment, electric drives, MCCs, and CSA Canadian Electrical Code.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience with process plant equipment, supporting DCS and PLC systems, process control logic programming, maintenance of pressure, temperature, level, and flow instrumentation, fire and gas detection systems, and industrial ESD and interlocks.
- Familiarity with current technological advancements in instrumentation, electronics, and computer applications related to these fields.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Field Safety Representative A certification.
- Demonstrated safe work habits and adherence to safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to make timely and appropriate decisions.
- Effective communication skills in verbal, written, and electronic formats.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Additional Information
- This role requires standby coverage approximately once every 3-4 weeks.
- On-call requirements based on operational needs.
- Schedule: 10-hour days, 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday).
- Must be clean-shaven as per WCB standards.
