About The Role
Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will assist Project Managers and Superintendents in coordination, scheduling, reporting, and quality control on construction projects in Calgary.
Key Responsibilities
- Update schedules and budgets; monitor costs, labor, materials, and equipment
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to update project schedules and budgets, identifying potential issues
- Assist with safety plan reviews, coordination, and implementation
- Attend meetings, record minutes, and present updates
- Manage change processes, including notices and tracking
- Assist with drawings, revisions, site instructions, and change orders
- Provide documentation for clarifications and instructions
- Create templates and supporting documents for project roles
- Gather data for status reports for executives and committees
- Monitor cost accruals and reviews regularly
- Support payroll functions with proper coding and cost allocation
- Build relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Review surveillance reports, initiate NCRs based on findings
- Maintain safety and QA/QC records
- Ensure safety for yourself and others, complying with regulations and laws
Qualifications \& Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 1-5 years of project coordination experience in building projects with a General Contractor
- Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with Primavera, Bluebeam, or BIM is an asset
