PRIMARY PURPOSE :
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Claims Adjuster, Auto is responsible for providing a consistently high level of service by investigating insurance claims for insurers or third parties and negotiating settlement of the claims to the satisfaction of all parties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage comprehensive desktop investigation of assigned claims, including obtaining all required loss details, determining coverage and validity, communicating with insured and claimants, preparing reports, and negotiating settlements.
- Maintain accurate records based on company standards and procedures, using company custom computer systems.
- Review and interpret policy wording to confirm and apply coverage of losses.
- Manage billing for assigned files efficiently within specified timelines.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with existing clients to further business.
- Engage in continuous education to stay updated with industry and legislative changes.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education \& Licensing
Experience
- 1 to 2 years of auto claims adjusting experience.
- Proven skills in adjusting, negotiating, and analytics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills including Office, Outlook, and web-based applications.
Skills \& Knowledge
- Passion for customer service.
- Demonstrated adjusting, negotiating, and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Office, Outlook, and web applications.
