Experienced Commercial Property Claims Adjuster

We currently have exciting opportunities for Experienced Commercial Claims Adjusters within our Customer Response - Property team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and onsite.
You will be responsible for settling commercial property claims (80% commercial | 20% personal lines) primarily via telephone, focusing on quality and customer service. Collaboration with property vendors to quantify claims and apply cost-saving guidelines without compromising service quality is key.
What You'll Do
- Handle claims customer inquiries through phone and text channels.
- Investigate, negotiate, and settle various commercial property claims following Aviva's procedures.
- Confirm coverage and gather FNOL information.
- Provide expert guidance on commercial claims to customers and stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy and manage payments to vendors, insureds, and experts.
- Review reports, analyze estimates, and negotiate claims settlement.
- Advise customers on claim status, ensuring prompt and quality service.
- Complete all correspondence efficiently, including critical path creation and legal notices.
- Identify questionable claims, subrogation opportunities, and review case law for liability.
- Meet individual and team performance expectations and support company policies on attendance.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of property claims experience.
- At least 3 years handling first-party commercial claims across various industries.
- Industry designations such as CIP or FCIP preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume periods.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Guidewire.
- Licenses for claims adjusting in any province are a plus.
- Flexibility to work during rotating shifts, including some evenings, weekends, and high-volume catastrophe support.
