Responsibilities
Position Summary: This role involves inventory control and receiving activities, including cycle counts, resolving discrepancies, and organizing physical inventories. It supports timely receipt of products, distribution centre productivity, delivery reliability, and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Standard Receiving Practices: Assist with maintaining productivity, delivery reliability, safety stock levels, and inbound freight maximization. Ensure documentation is complete and liabilities are protected.
- Inventory Management: Create purchase orders, communicate new items, maintain logs, and assist with invoicing and physical inventories.
- Process Audit: Conduct cycle counts, verify on-hold products, and address issues.
- Special Projects: Support occasional projects related to inventory control.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience: Post-secondary education in Supply Chain/Logistics or related field, ability to work under pressure, analytical and detail-oriented, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, proficiency in MS Office, and pass a background check.
Preferred Skills and Experience: Warehouse management system experience (JD Edwards is an asset), 1-3 years in inventory control or receiving coordination.
