Job Duties
- Perform maintenance and repair on various types of assets, including drilling equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ensure that all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain manuals and schematics of heavy equipment and assets.
- Keep accurate records and work order forms for all maintenance and repairs.
- Communicate with Yard Supervisor for parts and materials ordering.
- Respond to on-site emergencies to repair vital assets and equipment.
- Ensure own health and safety and that of colleagues, following safety guidelines and legislation.
- Undertake additional duties within your responsibility and competence.
- Physical demands include standing, walking on uneven surfaces, lifting up to fifty pounds, bending, crouching, reaching, climbing, and operating equipment.
- Work may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, weather conditions, noise, and the need for PPE.
- Work hours may vary, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and overtime.

Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in heavy equipment mechanic or similar large machinery repair.
- First aid certificate.
- Forklift operator certification.
- WHMIS Certificate.
Work Experience and Skills
- At least 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining track-mounted drilling rigs and pumps, with knowledge of specific components.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in fabricating and welding.
- Experience in water treatment and dewatering processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with safety regulations for rig operations.
- Good communication skills.
- Licenses for forklift and skid steer operation.
- First Aid \& CPR/AED certification.
