Our client, a leader in the professional services field located in downtown Edmonton, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to join the team.
This position will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes and supporting various HR and Benefits functions. This is a fully onsite role, located downtown Edmonton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Administration: Process semi-monthly full cycle payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations using ADP. (85 employees)
- HR Benefits Management: Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Employee Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage the preparation and processing of employee documentation, including Record of Employment (ROE) forms.
- Compliance and Reporting: Stay updated on provincial and federal labor laws, ensuring all payroll and HR practices adhere to current legislation.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits, providing timely and accurate information.
- HR Administration: Assist with the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures, contributing to a positive organizational culture.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience in full cycle payroll processing and some exposure to HR administration.
- Strong knowledge of provincial and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP) is an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying workloads, especially during peak seasons.
