Your Role
- Support projects through planning, design, procurement, and construction for roadway, municipal, structural, and airport infrastructure assignments.
- Prepare design drawings and reports for functional, preliminary, and detailed designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
- Prepare engineering reports and business proposals.
- Provide highway design and guidance to team members.
- Liaise with discipline team members, subconsultants, clients, and agencies.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Support project managers in administering roadway construction projects.
- Apply project management principles and best practices to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Interpret survey data to support engineering designs, quantity calculations, and as-built drawings.
- Assist with field investigations for proposals or designs.
- Follow internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue ongoing professional development.
- Work safely and report safety incidents.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Civil Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in drafting and design, preferably in consulting.
- Experience with municipal or provincial design preferred.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley MicroStation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with staff and clients.
- Understanding of survey layout and detailed design interpretation.
- Field inspection or materials testing experience is a plus.
