Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Wind Turbine Technician -- Journeyman Electrician to join our installation team. This role involves installation, commissioning, and maintenance of ENERCON wind turbines, ensuring safety, functionality, and quality. This position requires extensive travel across Canadian provinces and international opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Commissioning: Assist, supervise, and perform electrical component installation, including cable connections and SCADA systems. Commission turbines, establish power connections, verify and repair systems, and conduct inspections and troubleshooting.
- Operational Maintenance and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and documentation, perform software updates, conduct risk assessments, stay current with turbine technologies, and ensure timely maintenance.
- Component Installation and Troubleshooting: Install additional components, diagnose electrical issues, retrofit components, and report findings.
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow HSE protocols, complete documentation, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Travel and Teamwork: Travel extensively within Canada and internationally, collaborate with teams, support service operations, and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Additional Tasks: Follow protocols, organize tools and equipment, and support project efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- Technical degree or certification in electromechanics, electricity, or wind turbine maintenance.
- Experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Wind turbine experience preferred.
- Journeyman or Red Seal Certification preferred.
- Proficiency in English and French preferred.
- Ability to work at heights and physically fit.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, MAM, Lotus).
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
- Willingness to travel extensively, including internationally.
