- The Staff Software Engineer is responsible for leading the team that supports and enhances the code base used for the company's administrative and reporting tools. Work closely with UX/UI department in leading the technical vision for our products. Collaborate with designers, product managers, and developers to deliver compelling and efficient tools/products. Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues. Lead, coach and train a team of full stack developers.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage the implementation of overall product and service integration architecture.
- Prioritize and manage development efforts required to fulfill product feature requests in a timely manner.
- Define and design architecture/solutions, working with enterprise architects and the Manager, Software Engineering, to create scalable and robust web applications.
- Create technical specifications and test plans.
- Consistently write, translate, and code automation scripts to test, maintain, and monitor solutions. Work with DevOps to transition software into a production environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of enterprise web development experience, including 3 years leading teams of software developers.
- Strong understanding of the enterprise technology stack.
- Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems.
- Strong experience in SQL performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with all layers of the development stack, including Java EE backend and Angular frontend.
- Ability to articulate and explain technical solutions to stakeholders.
