About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and confident Construction Labourer who takes pride in their work and can operate both independently and as part of a team. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a professional but approachable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general carpentry and construction tasks including painting, framing, drywall, millwork, and more.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with foreman, subcontractors, and fellow trades.
- Follow direction and implement project changes quickly and efficiently.
- Manage time well to stay on task and meet project deadlines.
- Demonstrate responsibility, reliability, and punctuality, while showing respect and professionalism when working in clients' homes.
- Ensure the jobsite is kept safe, clean, and organized.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Pay close attention to detail and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
Requirements:
- 5 years of hands-on experience in construction and general carpentry.
- Supply and maintain your own tools and equipment.
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.
- Physically able to meet the demands of construction work.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, and out-of-town jobs as needed.
- Comfortable with multiple site visits in a day.
- Ability to provide clear timesheets and invoices (subcontract position)
Additional Information:
- 3-month probationary period.
- Full-time contract and/or hourly.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal record check.
