Role Overview
The Character Modeler is responsible for conceptualizing and creating complex CG (3D) models that adhere to the artistic, creative, and technical standards of our productions. This role involves using modeling software suited to project needs, providing guidance on shows, and assisting in task distribution to the rigging team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Create high-quality 3D models that meet artistic and technical standards.
- Develop clean and efficient topology for models, considering rigging and animation requirements to ensure smooth deformation and performance.
- Perform modeling tasks, including organic and hard-surface modeling, blend shapes (if applicable), and translating 2D concepts into 3D models.
- Interpret and incorporate feedback from leads, supervisors, and directors.
What You'll Bring
- Previous experience as a Character Modeler in high-quality television animation.
- Proficiency with Maya, ZBrush, Blender, and rendering software.
- Excellent communication, organization, and people management skills.
- Willingness to adopt new software and technologies relevant to animation and digital production.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: CAD $1200 - $1600 per week
This salary range reflects our current expectations. Final salary will consider your education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, and the company's needs.

Work Environment
