We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer responsible for the mechanical requirements of high-end automation systems, packaging equipment, and robotic cells from concept to design. Are you ready to revolutionize the world of mechanical engineering with us?
What you can achieve
- Review client specifications and drawings to assess project requirements.
- Create detailed mechanical drawings, assemblies, and outline testing procedures using software.
- Ensure safety requirements are met and specify safety guidelines for clients.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, the Head of Engineering, and the team to determine efficient, cost-effective construction methods.
- Work closely with Electrical Engineering to integrate electrical components.
- Adhere to project timelines and milestones, communicating with the Project Manager regarding progress and concerns.
- Address technical problems with the Head of Engineering, proposing solutions.
- Research suitable, cost-effective materials and prepare the bill of materials (BOM) for approval.
- Draft pneumatic schematics and communicate assembly instructions to technicians.
- Troubleshoot production and testing issues related to product functionality and materials.
- Support the Sales Team by providing drawings for client meetings.
- Visit client sites for project assessment or equipment commissioning as needed.
Why you will succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Professional certifications in mechanical design or CAD are advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role and industry.
- Proficiency with Office Suite and Electrical Design Software.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering standards and design principles.
- Experience with packaging machinery, robotic automation, and conveyor systems is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.
- Willingness to travel to client sites when required.
