Role
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
CoolIT Systems is growing---and so is our team! We're looking for a driven and experienced Global Sustaining Procurement Manager to lead and support our global procurement operations focused on sustaining production and post-NPI programs.
In this role, you'll lead a team that ensures the reliable supply of key components for mass production, collaborating closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You'll help maintain strong supplier performance, optimize inventory health, and uphold efficient procurement practices across our operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing Sustaining Procurement team, focused on mass production and post-launch product support.
- Ensure material availability by aligning supply with production demand and reviewing readiness regularly.
- Monitor and report on team KPIs to ensure strong operational performance and supplier accountability.
- Own and maintain Supply Chain documentation (processes, work instructions, forms).
- Train internal teams on procurement processes and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Maintain supplier relationships and support contract compliance with our Strategic Sourcing Team focused on cost, delivery, and quality.
- Support smooth transitions from NPI to full production, ensuring scalable and sustainable procurement execution.
- Ensure the team adheres to established procurement procedures for mass production, including requisition processing, PO creation, order tracking, goods receipt, and coordination of final payments.
- Monitor and improve inventory levels to avoid stockouts, overstock, and obsolete materials.
- Support contingency planning for key suppliers to reduce risk and maintain continuity.
- Promote and apply Lean principles to drive process improvements and cost savings.
- Utilize ERP and planning tools (NetSuite, Excel, Arena) to manage procurement data and business insights.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement projects across the Supply Chain team and CoolIT organization.
Who You Are Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Process oriented and disciplined with excellent system understanding of ERP/MRP
- Experience managing teams and supporting sustaining product lines
- Excellent understanding of various planning methods such as MRP Planning, safety stock, min/max, EOQ, and procurement planning tools
- Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory control (NetSuite preferred)
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Arena / Enova or similar Engineering Life Cycle Management tools
- Experience applying Lean tools in procurement or supply chain settings
- A proactive, customer-service mindset and the desire to build a high-trust team environment
