Responsibilities
Under the direction of the AV Manager, the AV Technician performs duties necessary for the safe and efficient operation of entertainment events, stage operations, showroom procedures, and other related entertainment venues.
Essential Duties
- Prepare audio, lighting, and video systems for all live events, including setup, operation, and tear down.
- Maintain and repair consoles, speakers, lighting, cables, video equipment, and related production items.
- Operate audio, lighting, and video equipment during live performances.
- Perform installation and troubleshooting tasks promptly and with quality consciousness.
- Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and tone generators.
- Safely use hand and power tools, solder, and crimp connection cables.
- Understand electrical principles, drawings, stage plots, and demonstrate computer literacy.
- Have basic rack wiring and installation knowledge/experience.
- Possess a strong PC application background (Windows/Adobe/Apple).
- Knowledge of Q-SYS control operation and DSP setup/programming is a plus.
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment.
- Participate in meetings and complete follow-up tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or trade school certificate and at least two (2) years of experience as a production technician performing similar duties, or a combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to walk distances.
- Frequently lift/push/pull/move up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a regulated environment, with occasional presence on the Casino Floor, which may include exposure to noise and other environmental factors.
