Job Title: Business/Data AnalystLocation: Montreal QC (Hybrid /3 days per week \& 2 Days remote)Duration: 12 Months (Extendable contract)7 years of experience as a Business/Data Analyst within global financial institutions, with a focus on Wealth Management compliance and risk monitoring. Strong expertise in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements including Agile user stories and proof-of-concept models. Hands-on experience conducting data analysis using SQL and working with relational databases to identify data gaps and support model development.
Proficient in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) aligned with business specifications. Solid understanding of trade lifecycles and asset classes such as equities, fixed income, options, and futures. Familiar with compliance surveillance platforms like Actimize, MANTAS, SMARTS, and SunGard, including experience in detecting wash trades, spoofing, insider trading, and marking the open/close.
Experience with Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies, project planning, and cross-functional coordination. Effective communication and collaboration skills within international and cross-regional teams. Self-driven and detail-oriented, capable of thriving in high-pressure environments with a problem-solving mindset.
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to lead discussions between IT and business teams.
