Hybrid - This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Oshawa Elevation Centre/ Oshawa Assembly Building M three times per week, at minimum.
This is a high-impact role that has oversight of Oshawa Operations financial accounting, reporting, and performance as well as support CCA Canada inventory management, freight costs, and accounting:
The successful candidate will be an integral member of the CCA Canada Finance FP\&A team and interface directly with Oshawa Operations leadership. They will play a key role in activities pertaining to CCA Canada and Oshawa Operations budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, capital project budget management, and month-end close. In addition, the successful candidate will drive structural cost leadership and drive innovation to internal processes.

Prepare Journal Entries to support Month-End Close process

Reconcile accounts to support Month-End Close process

Lead the annual budget and monthly forecast process for Oshawa Operations

Work with the Oshawa Operations teams to develop annual budgets, interim forecasts, mid-term/long-term financial plans.

Report accurate and timely financial performance to Oshawa Operations leadership and speak to variances vs. budget/forecast/prior year.

Assess plant Oshawa Operations KPIs that indicate financial performance health

Oshawa Operations Capital Projects budget management

Provide insight on key drivers, outlook, mitigating actions, and risks and opportunities

Continuously innovate on internal processes such as developing and/or refining working templates/models, reports, white papers, variance guard rails, standard operating procedures

Perform ad hoc financial analysis/reports
Structural Cost, Freight, \& Inventory

Drive Oshawa Operations structural cost efficiency

Prepare monthly analysis of freight costs for CCA and Oshawa Operations; investigate and explain issues causing monthly variances; identify optimization opportunities

Prepare monthly analysis of raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory accounts for Oshawa Operations; investigate and explain issues causing monthly variances; identify optimization opportunities
Requirements

3 years of previous Financial experience
-
Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis

Minimum a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or equivalent

Familiarity with GM systems (IMS, SPOBARS, eGPPS, SAP, Hyperion, ARM)

CPA Preferred
