Our client in the insurance sector is seeking a contract based Business PM to work on their Transformational initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the business workstreams of transformational initiatives (Intelligent Automation, Document processing, CRM) ensuring clear goals, ownership, and timelines are established and maintained.
- Act as the primary liaison between business units (insurance, pharma, mental health) and the technical project teams. Ensure requirements are gathered, validated, and prioritized.
- Support business case development, process mapping, change impact assessments, and documentation of current and future state processes.
- Collaborate with your IT PM counterpart to manage project timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables. Ensure strong integration of business needs into IT project execution.
- Identify risks early and develop mitigation plans. Ensure business risks are clearly communicated and managed.
- Prepare project updates, executive summaries, and stakeholder presentations to ensure clarity and transparency throughout project lifecycles.
- Work with Change Management resources to ensure adoption of new tools, processes, and systems.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Business Project Management, preferably in insurance, healthcare, pharma, or related industries
- Proven experience working closely with IT teams and/or IT Project Managers
- Strong background leading cross-functional business transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with Intelligent Document Processing, CRM, and automation technologies is an asset
- Experience supporting senior leadership stakeholders (VP and C-level)
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with business process reengineering
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or other project management certifications are considered an asset
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies
