We're excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Mechanical Designer -- Sales Support .
In this dynamic role, you will bridge the gap between engineering and sales, using your mechanical design expertise to develop custom layouts and process flows that support new business opportunities. Your contributions will directly influence client confidence, project scope, and successful quoting by creating visuals and documentation that bring ideas to life.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Create mechanical design layouts and process flows for custom equipment/systems
- Prepare supporting documentation such as general arrangements, technical drawings, and 3D models
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to interpret customer needs and translate them into design concepts
- Support quoting and proposal development with accurate technical input
- Revise designs as needed based on feedback from sales, clients, or internal reviews
- Maintain an organized database of design documents and templates for reuse in future projects
Mandatory Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design (ideally in custom equipment or machinery)
- Proficient in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to create technical documentation with attention to detail
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting sales or estimating functions
- Familiarity with process equipment, automation systems, or custom fabrication
- Working knowledge of sheet metal design or manufacturing processes
