About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned Executive Underwriter with deep expertise in commercial property and complex risk management accounts. This role is ideal for a highly technical underwriting professional who brings strategic insight, strong market relationships, and the ability to manage and grow a sophisticated book of large accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the underwriting and portfolio management of large and technically complex commercial property and risk-managed accounts
- Act as a strategic partner to brokers and clients, delivering customized solutions for unique and challenging risks
- Drive profitability and long-term growth through disciplined underwriting practices and risk selection
- Collaborate with senior leadership on product development, underwriting guidelines, and market strategy
- Represent the organization in high-stakes negotiations and client meetings
- Provide mentorship to underwriting teams and contribute to talent development initiatives
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 10+ years of underwriting experience, with a focus on commercial property and risk management accounts
- Demonstrated success underwriting large accounts with high complexity and exposure
- Proven experience managing risk-managed clients and building long-term broker relationships
- Exceptional technical underwriting skills and deep understanding of commercial property risks
- CIP or CRM designation, or actively working toward completion
