We’re currently seeking a Rail Operator to join our team at the Hamlin Facility. Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Rail Operator plays a key role in supporting safe, efficient operations while minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, exercise sound judgment, and communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. The Successful Candidate Will: Operate facility equipment and support day-to-day operations Assist with maintenance activities and contribute to Strathcona’s integrity program Load railcars, including pre- and post-load inspections Monitor truck activity and facility conditions; troubleshoot and resolve operational issues Maintain accurate records, including safety reports, operator logs, and maintenance documentation Ensure clear communication with team members, contractors, and service providers Conduct routine facility inspections and uphold site cleanliness standards Qualifications & Requirements Include: Experience in a crude-by-rail facility or similar operational environment preferred Previous facility or process operations experience an asset Valid Class 5 driver’s license required Proficient in Microsoft Office Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills Committed to Health, Safety, and Environmental best practices Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and sound decision-making Self-motivated, results-oriented, and open to continuous improvement Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Required to work a 7-on / 7-off rotational schedule, alternating between day and night shifts Great things aren’t done by one person, they’re done by a team.
