Reports to: Service Manager, Hard Rock DistributionShift: 5x2, Monday-FridaySafety Sensitive: Yes- Drug & Alcohol testing, Physical Demand Fit testing, RCMP Criminal Record Check and submission of 5 year Provincial driving record will be requiredRelocation: This position is not eligible for relocationTravel: Up to 35% travel required for this role Key Job Responsibilities
Maintain, repair, and service underground mining equipment
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Adjust, repair, or replace defective equipment parts and components at customer locations
Participate in and be committed to a strong safety culture
Qualifications/Requirements
Must possess 421A /Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician or Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification, Red Seal is an asset
Experience working on underground LHD's, trucks, jumbos & bolters is required
Ability to travel and work overtime as needed
A valid Driver’s License is required
Must be able to safely lift 50lbs unassisted
Previous experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems is required
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Detail oriented and have a high level of accuracy
Strong work ethic, self-motivated, can multi-task and manage changes in responsibilities
Able to demonstrate aptitude for problem-solving
Result-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team
Ability to work with Microsoft Office applications
