As our Experienced Fire Suppression Technician, you will be responsible for a wide variety of in-field fire services such as installing, inspecting, maintaining, modifying, and servicing fire protection equipment and fire suppression systems including vehicle suppression, kitchen suppression, industrial suppression, and clean agent suppression systems at commercial, industrial, and institutional sites. Some of the additional expectations of this role include:
Verifying conditions of suppression system, including validation of installation compliance and component location;
Test, replace and repair system components;
Perform all mechanical and electrical tests required to certify proper system operation;
Assess equipment, environment and operating conditions;
Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, specifications, schematics, and operational/product manuals;
Evaluating plans, customer requests, code, and non-conformance issues to determine specific solutions and recommendations for customers and management;
Install systems according to manufacturer’s instructions;
After installation, validate system operation;
Preparing stock materials for daily execution of assigned work orders and optimizing material utilization;
Completing daily reports of completed work orders and activities;
Ensuring safe work practices are followed safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job;
Mentoring other team members including trainees and field service labour; and
Participating in 24/7 on-call/call out emergency service.

Must possess a valid Driver’s License
Ability to travel to and work out of remote client sites. Overtime may be necessary; therefore, flexibility in hours of work will be required.
They must also possess the following experience and/or education:
A candidate with a minimum of 3+ years’ field experience across various industries and a diploma in a mechanical trade would be preferred.

Fire service certifications and/or suppression training would be considered an asset.
