The P&H Grain Division is a comprehensive grain and crop input network, operating across approximately 45 locations in the prairie provinces, Ontario and Quebec. Our strategically positioned facilities, including grain elevators, rail sidings, inland terminals, and specialized export terminals, ensure that we effectively match producer grain with the needs of both domestic and export end users. Your Role
As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, the successful candidate will play a critical role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent. This role involves full-cycle recruitment, employer branding, and strategic partnerships to ensure we meet our current and future workforce needs.
Day to Day
Lead full-cycle recruitment to ensure a seamless and positive experience for both hiring managers and candidates.
Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and craft compelling job postings.
Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies using online platforms, career fairs, local communities, and industry events.
Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for future roles.
Stay current on industry trends, recruitment best practices, and relevant federal and provincial employment legislation.
Promote the company through community outreach, job fairs, and partnership development with educational institutions.
Use recruitment metrics to track hiring performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Support onboarding in collaboration with HR and hiring leaders to ensure smooth transitions for new hires.
Qualifications
Post secondary education in Human Resources, Agriculture, Business Administration or a related field.
Previous experience with full cycle recruitment.
Strong technical aptitude with hands-on experience in an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Microsoft 365 Application Suite.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Must be available to work on site.
Ability to travel as required.
Additional Assets
Previous experience in an agriculture, manufacturing or operations environment.
Certified HR designation or working towards.
Bilingual in English and French is a plus.
