What you're responsible for:Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport metals and scrap materials to designated areas within the plant.Loading and unloading trucks, containers, and railcars, ensuring that materials are handled safely and correctly.Organizing metal materials by placing them in appropriate storage areas based on their type, size, or weight.Assisting in unloading incoming scrap deliveries and preparing outgoing shipments.Following all plant safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves, a helmet, and safety boots.Complying with environmental guidelines for safe handling and disposal of materials.QualificationsTo join our team:You have a Forklift certification (according to company or industry standards)You have a minimum 2 years experience operating a forkliftYou have knowledge of safety standards and protocols in an industrial settingYou are comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (mask, plugs, helmets, gloves, etc.)You are punctual and diligent with the ability to work in a team and on your ownAdditional InformationAmerican Iron & Metal (AIM) and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
