PRODUCTION OPERATOR – FABRICATION

SUMMARY: This position reports to the Supervisor of the department. The incumbent ensures both the correct set up and operation of their own equipment including the organization of tooling requirements to meet production demands within the Fabrication department.
ROLE:
Performs the set up and tear down of Fabrication equipment.
Operates Fabrication equipment to meet production demands.
Conducts required quality checks to ensure product is in compliance and in specification
Notifies the Lead Hand and/or Supervisor(s) of product defects or other serious occurrences
Documents and records all necessary information/data as per work cards and other company requirements
Performs equipment operational checks and does basic troubleshooting
Performs proper housekeeping, clean-up and 5 S requirements
Performs all duties according to safety standards and company policies
Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to meet prescribed production standards
Experience & knowledge of Fabrication (Tube Cell) equipment
1+ year(s) of experience in the Fabrication (Tube Cell) department with a basic knowledge of hazards, equipment, machinery, and processes within the Fabrication area.
Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy
Written and oral aptitude in English
Min. grade 12 or equivalent education
Conscientious and punctual
Willing to learn
VACANCIES: 2 vacancies - 2 Afternoon Shift (3:15pm to 11:45pm)
RATE: $21.83
Subject to assessment of skills and qualifications by Active following a 60 working days probationary period
