Meet Benevity
Benevity is the way the world does good, providing companies (and their employees) with technology to take social action on the issues they care about. Through giving, volunteering, grantmaking, employee resource groups and micro-actions, we help most of the Fortune 100 brands build better cultures and use their power for good. We’re also one of the first B Corporations in Canada, meaning we’re as committed to purpose as we are to profits. We have people working all over the world, including Canada, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States and more!
As a Product Owner for the Fintech Platform, you’ll help evolve the financial engine that powers purpose-driven programs for some of the world’s leading companies—enabling their people to do good while finding meaning in their work.
Part of the Product organization, you’ll work closely with a dedicated scrum team and partner with senior product leaders to deliver intuitive, data-driven tools. You’ll collaborate across functions and with enterprise clients to ensure solutions meet industry standards and the evolving needs of the social impact space.
What you’ll do:
Act as the primary liaison between Product Management and Engineering, representing the product vision within the scrum team
Support Senior Product Managers and Engineers in delivering a robust financial engine that drives innovation and enables the launch of next-generation, purpose-driven products
Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring features, fixes, enhancements, and non-functional requirements are clearly defined and aligned with business value
Make timely decisions during development to keep work on track and responsive to evolving needs
Collaborate with Product Management to align on strategy, market demands, and user problems
Work cross-functionally with Design, Engineering, Customer Success, and Compliance to deliver a cohesive and compliant user experience
Communicate daily with the squad to clarify epics, user stories, and expectations—providing feedback and guidance as needed
What you’ll bring:
3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Product Manager in a SaaS company, ideally with a focus on Payments or Global Money Movement
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (particularly Scrum) and hands-on experience managing product backlogs
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks
Passion for social impact, sustainability, or corporate responsibility; familiarity with SDGs, GRI, SASB, or B Corp frameworks is a plus
Proficient with tools such as Aha, Jira, Confluence, Figma, impact data platforms, and AI tools
Technical fluency combined with empathy for mission-driven users
Nice to Have:
Experience with impact measurement standards, ESG frameworks, or nonprofit operations
Background in data visualization, analytics tools, or data governance
Agile or Product Ownership certification (e.g., CSPO, SAFe)
Experience working with B2B enterprise clients or within highly regulated industries
