About Blueprint
At Blueprint, we’re on a mission to empower therapists with world-class tools so they can focus on what matters most—delivering exceptional mental health care.
Our AI assistant is purpose-built for therapists, automating the administrative tasks that slow them down and enabling them to operate at the top of their license. With Blueprint, therapists aren’t just managing their work; they’re supported by tools that understand the context of each client interaction. Compared to legacy software tools, Blueprint feels more like having the world’s best executive assistant at your side.
Today, over 40,000 therapists use Blueprint to enhance care for hundreds of thousands of clients. We’ve found strong product-market fit and are scaling rapidly to meet demand.
Our organization is very flat and our team is intentionally small and talent-dense. We like people who are truthseekers, creative, and passionate about improving mental health care.
We’re a remote-first company (US and Canada only, for now) and come together in person a few times a year to connect, have fun, and help shape the future of mental health care.
Who we're looking for
You’re a software engineer with a strong product mindset and a proven track record of building applications that integrate LLMs or generative AI in production. You’ve gone beyond demos and prototypes — you’ve shipped real features, optimized them over time, and care deeply about the user experience.
You thrive in early-stage, fast-moving environments where you're given ownership and expected to move quickly. You’re excited about applying AI in service of real-world problems, and you're curious about the end-to-end product experience — not just the model layer.
You might be a fit if:
- You have 5–10 years of experience building production software, ideally in a full-stack role.
- You’ve shipped AI-powered features using OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM APIs.
- You’ve built evaluation loops or metrics to track and improve model output quality — you’re not just relying on “vibes.”
- You’re fluent in modern web technologies (we use TypeScript, React, Node/NestJS).
- You’re product-oriented: you think about UX, latency, and real-world usage as much as technical implementation.
- You thrive in a lean, high-talent team — and like wearing multiple hats when needed.
What you’ll do
As a Software Engineer at Blueprint, you’ll work across the stack to build and refine AI-powered experiences used by tens of thousands of mental health professionals. Your work will directly impact how therapists engage with our platform, save time, and improve care.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Designing and shipping user-facing product features powered by LLMs
- Crafting, tuning, and evolving prompts and context windows to improve output quality
- Improving streaming UX and latency for real-time AI interactions
- Building internal evaluation tooling and feedback loops to track model performance
- Working closely with product, design, and our clinical team to ensure the AI outputs feel natural, useful, and safe
- Participating in code reviews, infrastructure discussions, and overall product direction
We’re a small, high-talent team — so you’ll have broad ownership, direct access to real users, and the ability to ship end-to-end quickly.
