Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? Within our Fixed Income & Currencies department of RBC Capital Markets, you will be working in the Foreign Exchange (FX) team, managing and developing a portfolio of FX Clients, providing market insight and trading strategies for commercial clients in Eastern Canada. In order to be successful in this position, you must be fully bilingual and have a keen interest to learn foreign exchange products, navigate regulatory requirements, Global Code policies, client credit considerations and general market developments. What will you do? • Manage a portfolio of commercial/corporate clients and a regional RBC distribution network + business development. • Provide informed and timely commentary to clients, interpreting market and economic events for the benefit of the client. • Provide proactive FX coverage to deepen client relationships within a regional portfolio and help clients manage currency risk with suitable hedging solutions (forwards, swaps, options). • Establish, maintain, and fine-tune pricing guidelines to ensure client retention. • Contribute to driving the FX revenue for RBC clients in Quebec. • Provide professional foreign exchange services and undertake pro-active calls when there are timely market developments. • Identify opportunities to help clients hedge foreign currency exposures. • Liaise with other areas of the bank to ensure RBC maximizes opportunities with clients across all products. • Promote the use of the online platform (RBC DX) for dealing to maximize productivity. • Ensure that dealings with counterparties are confidential and fairly handled. • Maintain a high standard of ethical conduct and professionalism within the framework of the Global FX Code. Must-have: • BA, B Comm, or equivalent degree with emphasis in finance and/or economics completed or to be completed. • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs. • A proficient-to-high skill level in MS Office applications is necessary. • Some light travel for the purpose of client visitation, business development or internal meetings is likely.
