Our Purpose: "We champion and empower workers who make our world work better" We currently have a Warehouse Associate position open at our Cambridge, Ontario Distribution Center. Position Responsibilities: Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. Direct and control warehouse operations, stock deployment functions, and inventory control functions involved in the physical distribution of company products; ensure cost effective operations while meeting quality customer service and inventory turnover objectives. Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in a store or warehouse. Receive incoming goods, check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices. Accurately sort, label, and store goods; arrange storage to optimize warehouse space. Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders. Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules). Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organization's established procedures. These activities may include answering telephones; updating stock cards and inventory records; and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One year of experience is preferred. Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
