As a People Services Specialist, you’ll be a key player in supporting day-to-day HR operations and delivering exceptional service across our organization. From managing employee lifecycle transactions to supporting HR systems and programs, you’ll ensure our People Services run smoothly, efficiently and with care. You’ll be the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries, policies and systems while also contributing to people-focused projects that drive engagement and organizational success. Please note that this is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office (2 days on-site). Who you are: You’re a natural communicator who knows how to build trust, simplify the complex and make sure everyone’s on the same page You have a sharp eye for detail and a head for data, using both to solve problems before they become roadblocks You thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and deadlines matter—and you always keep your cool You bring a collaborative spirit, a professional approach and a genuine passion for creating a positive, people-first employee experience What you’ll bring: Post-secondary education in HR, business or a related field 3+ years in an HR support or admin role ideally in a mid-to-large organization and familiarity with employment legislation Working knowledge of HRIS (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office tools Experience in unionized environments is an asset Proven ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism What you’ll do: People Support & Lifecycle Coordination Respond to HR inquiries on policies, programs and systems Manage documentation for employee lifecycle events (onboarding, changes, exits) Support onboarding presentations and HR communications Conduct exit interviews and identify improvement opportunities HRIS & Data Management Maintain accurate employee records and support payroll processes Troubleshoot system issues and ensure data integrity Track probation reviews, stipends, performance reviews and other key items Reporting & Projects Provide HR data analysis and insights on trends Support compliance initiatives, policy updates and onboarding enhancements Assist with employee surveys and engagement follow-ups Coordinate special projects like job evaluations, vacation audits and recognition programs Join a collaborative and agile People team where your work will directly support our people and culture. The salary range for this position is $60,468.80 to $75,575.88 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.
