Job Title: Senior Analyst, Capital Markets
Job Description
The Senior Analyst, Capital Markets role involves assisting the Director, Capital Markets and Treasury BIA in strategic projects and initiatives. This position provides analytical and initiative support for Capital Markets, Treasury, and other strategic business partners. The incumbent is responsible for detailed investigative analysis to support business initiatives, projects, and post-mortems of key transactions.
Responsibilities
Act as a point of contact for the business on queries and requests, accountable for communicating status and resolution to the Director.
Assist with advisory services to the Controllership team and CFO groups to promote process improvement.
Support new systems initiatives and migrations by providing business requirements, assisting with design solutions, and reviewing test results.
Assist with Capital Markets and Treasury BIA projects, interacting with peers, project teams, directors, and business partners.
Participate in continuous improvement and assist in the development of new systems and processes to enhance departmental efficiency.
Develop cross-functional relationships with Directors and Senior Analysts within Capital Markets and Treasury, Controllership teams, Risk Management, and CFO Canada.
Monitor compliance with regulatory training and ensure programs and policies are applied consistently.
Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders.
Solve complex finance issues and organize, prioritize, multi-task, and balance numerous projects and processes.
Essential Skills
Financial analysis and accounting expertise.
Experience with SAP, General Ledger, and Capital Markets.
Knowledge of financial instruments and IFRS, including IFRS 9.
Proficiency in quantitative analysis and valuation of derivatives.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
CPA or CPA Pep certification.
Experience with Canadian Securities and product control.
CFA certification.
Knowledge of ORACLE, VBA, Macros, and financial mathematics.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Toronto,ON.
