Job Summary:
Altus Group is seeking an Analytics Manager to lead a growing team responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and actionable insights that enable data-informed decisions across product management, business, technology, and other key stakeholders. This role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence to drive data literacy, accelerate insight delivery, and unlock business value from analytics. Success in this role means building a high-performing analytics team as a player-coach to improve business performance through trusted data and insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Insight Leadership
Develop and execute an analytics roadmap aligned with business goals
Promote data literacy and a culture of informed decision-making
Drive analytics maturity across the organization
Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Impact
Translate business needs into structured analytical projects
Partner with teams across Product, Technology, Operations, and Lines of Business
Measure the impact of insights delivered to key stakeholders
Ad Hoc Analytics & Reporting
Oversee intake, prioritization, and delivery of short-turnaround requests
Ensure high-quality, consistent dashboards and reporting using tools such as Power BI
Respond quickly to tactical business needs with reliable insights
Team Development & Operational Excellence
Lead and coach a team of analysts; set expectations around quality and consistency
Standardize processes, tools, and templates for repeatable analysis
Build team capabilities and foster a high-performing culture
Data Exploration & Validation
Validate data accuracy and investigate anomalies or integrity issues.
Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Science to improve source quality.
Produce stakeholder-ready visuals and documentation.
Example Initiatives
Allocating total cost of ownership across products and services.
Customer segmentation based on usage for go-to-market planning.
Identifying efficiency and cost optimization opportunities.
Monitoring product usage trends by client segment and property type.
Key Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or insights roles
1–2 years of experience leading or mentoring analytics professionals
Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Excel
Experience with Power BI and/or Databricks
Proven ability to translate complex business questions into actionable insights
Background in Commercial Real Estate, SaaS, or enterprise technology preferred
Experience managing analytics request systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
Familiarity with cost modeling, usage analytics, or operational performance metrics
