Position Summary: As a co-op student will collaborate closely with testers and developers to test the QNX tool chain (C/C++ cross compilers) and utilities. Tool chain testing involves running existing test suites, developing test automation, and debugging issues with the tool chain or tests. This position is ideal for students who are curious about how compilers are built, tested, and optimized for real-world embedded systems. You’ll also gain experience working across both Linux and Windows environments, supporting and maintaining tools and utilities on both platforms. Location: Ottawa ON, Canada Length of Term: 4 Months What you will do: Work with tool chain and utilities developers and testers to maintain and develop tests and test infrastructure Develop and maintain automation tests and suites Work with target hardware to set-up and maintain working environments Who we are looking for: Python and shell scripting experience is required Linux and Windows OS experience is required Experience working in a test role is preferred Jenkins and continuous automation experience is preferred C/C++ coding and debugging experience is preferred 2nd - 3rd year Bachelor student at a minimum is preferred Above and beyond: Experience in setting up and configuring hardware platforms like Raspberry Pi Experience working in a multi-team environment (Team player) Why Join QNX?
