Location: Ottawa, ON Length of Term: 4 or 8 months About the Role Join the QNX test team as a Software Test Co-op and gain hands-on experience working with our real-time operating system. You’ll focus on testing the C library APIs, ensuring they function as documented and meet the high standards required for mission-critical systems. This is a great opportunity to deepen your understanding of embedded systems, C programming, and software testing while collaborating with industry experts. What You’ll Do Learn the fundamentals of the QNX operating system Become familiar with the C library API to be tested and how the API could be used Understand how APIs are used in real-world embedded applications Design and implement test cases in C, following QNX coding standards Debug and analyze issues found during test development Collaborate with kernel developers and testers to report and resolve issues Contribute to the quality and reliability of software used in safety-critical systems What You Bring Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program Familiarity with Linux or other UNIX-like operating systems Programming experience in C and/or Python Exposure to Docker or virtualization technologies Strong communication and interpersonal skills A curious mindset and eagerness to learn and solve complex problems Why Join QNX?
