What You’ll Do:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for bringing Provincial Credit Union’s brand to life, creating compelling visual content for a range of platforms and audiences. This role designs and produces marketing materials, digital assets, and internal communications to ensure a consistent, engaging, and accessible brand presence. This role requires a strong understanding of design fundamentals, with responsibility for producing content across both print and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation and Development (70%)
Create visual assets for digital channels including our website, social media, email campaigns, online ads, and digital screens.
Design marketing collateral including flyers, brochures, posters, branch signage, event materials, direct mail, and out-of-home ads.
Develop and maintain brand templates for communications, ensuring consistency across channels.
Expand visual content offerings through video, motion graphics, and other new media formats to drive engagement.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver design solutions tailored to strategic projects and initiatives.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept through production.
Brand Management (20%)
Uphold and evolve brand guidelines, encouraging further development of the Provincial Credit Union brand.
Ensure all designs meet Provincial Credit Union brand standards, accessibility guidelines, and project objectives.
Coordinate with community partners and stakeholders to maintain brand integrity across co-branded initiatives.
Departmental Support & Engagement (10%)
Support the implementation and adherence of design-related processes and procedures.
Actively participate in coaching sessions, meetings and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Support community initiatives through volunteering and participating in events to increase the Credit Union’s visibility.
What You Have:
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, or a College Diploma, in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or Business Administration; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
2+ years of professional experience in a graphic design role, preferably in a marketing or communications environment.
Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong grasp of typography, layout design, color theory, and brand identity principles.
Experience designing for both digital and print media.
Working knowledge of video editing and motion graphics tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects) is an asset.
Basic photography and image editing skills.
Familiarity with Canva for templated or rapid-turnaround design projects.
Understanding of social media platforms and best practices for visual content.
Relationship Management: Possesses strong judgment and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, partners and members.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail and the ability to process information accurately and efficiently.
Adaptability: Demonstrates a proactive approach to change, remaining flexible and positive while readily adjusting to new circumstances and effectively managing shifting priorities.
Self-Reliance: Ability to work independently with confidence.

Salary range for this position: $58,700 - $69,000.
