We are looking for a Regional Manager for our Liability line of business. This role will be remote but candidates must physically reside in Canada or the United States and have the ability to travel if needed.

Our liability insurance teams provide customized coverage. With a diverse client portfolio, we serve a wide range of industries, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, construction companies, energy and utilities, automotive manufacturers, and specialized small and mid-sized businesses.
The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the ARC Liability Regional Manager, North America, this position is responsible for leading the regional ARC Liability team and implementing loss control best practices across the NA region by ensuring consistent, timely, and high-quality service delivery to Liability UWs and Allianz clients throughout the region. Provide support to the Regional ARC Manager and the Liability Global Matrix Leader in implementing and monitoring agreed priorities and productivity in the region. Drive digital change and the implementation of data-driven tools within the regional ARCL team by aligning with global digital tools and processes. Provide liability exposure analysis and risk improvement consultancy services to NA large corporate clients. Utilize technology and AI to monitor emerging risks in the region, conceptualize claims trends in Liability, and proactively foster collaborations to address these challenges.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Service Deliver and Communication
Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery to Liability UWs and Allianz clients throughout NA, by maintaining excellent communication channels and dynamically evaluating feedback to improve the efficiency of the NA ARCL team. Responsible for fostering a responsive environment where client needs are met promptly and effectively.
Leadership and Team Development
Hold disciplinary responsibility for all direct reporting staff. Ensures a fully aligned approach to team management and development with the global ARC growth plan. Actively lead, manage, and cultivate the growth of the team, focusing on their professional development and fostering a collaborative environment.
Risk Consulting and Consulting Services
Offer expert recommendations on risk selection and retention as required supporting clients by engaging in risk dialogues or by conducting desk-top assessments as required. Support Allianz Commercial functions (Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, etc.) and clients by providing as required scientific and technical insights in current and emerging risks about various industries, products, and technical applications.
Strategy Implementation and KPI Monitoring
Tasked with delivering the ARCL strategy in the region, monitors applicable KPIs and actively supports and promotes changes in ways of working and deliverables as defined by the ARCL Global Head and the NA ARC Regional Manager.
Staff Appraisals and Capability Development
Complete required annual staff appraisals and guide the growth of the regional ARCL team capabilities by aligning with the global implementation of tools based on new technologies such as Data Analytics and Agentic AI. Enhance the team's skill set and operational efficiency through continuous learning and technology adoption.
Process Improvement and Collaboration
Provide inputs and suggestions for continuous improvement aligned with the ARCL growth plan. Organize and chair regional RC team meetings, liaise with other functions to ensure consistent global process alignment. Foster and enhance collaborations with other ARC LoBs and AzC functions regionally.
What You’ll Bring to the Role –
Minimum 7 years’ loss prevention engineering experience in an area relevant to his/her LoB.
Knowledge and professional experience in business sectors. Risk Consulting experience in the space of Liability with broader understanding of different sub-lines
Experience in leading a team of professional in a complex global matrix organization. Ability to lead and manage a team of risk consultants. Includes the ability to delegate tasks, steer team direction/goals, etc.
Experience with international colleagues and an understanding of differing cultural business needs.
Preferable but not implicit: Master's degree in Engineering or Science (preferably in a line associated with his/her LoB).
Or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in other area will be considered in conjunction with extensive technical experience.
A demonstrable engineering/technical expertise. Able to work technical loss control topics. Knowledge of specific business sectors.
Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally. Presentation skills in a varied environment. Organizational and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to maintaining knowledge of developments and new technologies including data analytics and agentic AI in field.

The annualized base pay range for this role is $136,752 to $232,880. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
