Location: Orangeville – in office (this is not a remote work position)
Job Type: 30-35 hours per week
Reports To: Owner
Salary: $40,000-$55,000 per year

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to support all HR functions within our small but growing team. This individual will play a key role in recruiting caregivers, managing employee relations, ensuring HR compliance, maintaining records, and fostering a positive workplace culture aligned with our mission of exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
Source, screen, and interview caregiver candidates
Coordinate background checks, credential verifications, and reference checks
Manage onboarding and orientation for new hires
Employee Relations
Serve as point of contact for employee concerns, providing guidance and conflict resolution
Foster an inclusive and supportive work environment
Conduct regular check-ins with field staff
Compliance & Recordkeeping
Maintain up-to-date employee files, certifications, and compliance documents
Ensure company policies are aligned with provincial and federal labour regulations
Assist with audits and inspections
Other general office duties
Training & Development
Coordinate required caregiver training
Track training completion and certification renewals
HR Administration
Monitor attendance, and employee documentation
Update employee handbook and HR policies as needed
Company Culture & Engagement
Plan staff appreciation events and initiatives
Encourage employee feedback and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
2+ years of HR experience, ideally in healthcare or homecare
Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations (ESA, WSIA, Common Law, OHRC, OHSA)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle sensitive information confidentially
Experience with applicant tracking systems
CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain (preferred)
