Main Tasks:
Conduct pre-shipment, in-process, and final inspections to verify compliance with quality standards.
Ensure product and material performance is adequately monitored and where problems occur, support appropriate and timely corrective actions as required
Identify and document non-conformances, initiating NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) as required
Work closely with Production Personnel in work cells assisting with inspection processes and verification
Monitor, communicate and ultimately improve supplier quality performance: including the application of relevant measurement controls, PPAP development, RoHS and REACH compliance, supplier corrective action, First Article Inspection (FAI) and program Safe Launch activities
Participate in internal problem-solving activities to eliminate recurrence of non?conformances
Work with Purchasing and Production to evaluate/audit and approve new suppliers and/or processes as part of a New Product Introduction (NPI) process and/or full production products
Participate in the Production Pilot Run (PPR) for all product launch activities
Improve process capability for both internal and external processes
Lead the gauge calibration process to ensure accuracy of the measurement system
Perform all Robot end of line inspection based on demand
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Quality role
ASQ Certification preferred
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, work well with diverse groups of people and be able to function independently of direct supervision
Calibration experience as asset
Successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that may include criminal/civil background checks
Bonus:
Knowledge of various quality system methodologies 8D, Six Sigma, FMEA, PPAP, etc
Six Sigma Green Belt an asset
Understanding of project management principles
Intimate knowledge of ISO Standards
