The primary responsibility will involve moving loads of scrap metal from our customer site in Elora to our site in Kitchener. You may also be required to assist other locations from time to time. What you're responsible for:Operating an AZ-class tractor pulling an end dump trailer to transport metal materials to and from designated locationsPerforming multiple tasks in various styles of trucks (tractors pulling end dump trailers, super roll off trailer, etc)Shunting trailers in and out of docksSafely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipment and secure the loadUsing a crane to assist with balancing loads in trailers or bins before moving load as necessary (training provided)Performing manual tarping if necessaryPerforming routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truckCompleting accurate and thorough records of deliveries and any other required documentationQualificationsTo join our team:You have a valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and Drivers AbstractYou have experience driving 18 speed manual transmission (required)You have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an AZ DriverYou must be physically fit to hand tarp 40 and 53yd binsYou are customer service-oriented with strong communication skillsYou have physical stamina and the ability to perform loading and unloading activitiesYou have familiarity with metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
