The Fusion Data & Analytics team is dedicated to applying cross-domain data and advanced analytics to protect CIBC clients, employees and assets against financial crimes. In this role you will support in the data analysis and development to identify emerging behaviors and patterns of threat actors concealed within the data. How You will Succeed Analytics support for incident response – Enable fast paced incident response by supporting data and analysis needs during incidents. Work closely with the Fusion Response team and various business owners to deliver the required data to respond to incidents effectively. Threat detection logic development – Use cross-domain data to develop detection logics for various threat scenarios. Work closely with business partners to understand the detection targets and their behaviors to come up with alerts that will mitigate the risk. Cloud Migration – Assist with migrating existing threat detection codes from on-premises Anaconda environment to Databricks in Cloud. Automation - Support the teams continuous improvement initiative with automation. Use your programming skills to enable business partners and innovate existing manual processes. Who You Are You can demonstrate knowledge and experience in data handling and manipulation. You are proficient in SQL for data extraction, and scripting languages like Spark/Python for data cleaning, transformation, and analysis are highly valued. You have an interest in supporting incident response from data and analytics perspective. You enjoy working with data and would like to use analysis to help facilitate the swift response to wide variety of incidents and threat detection. You are a team player. You work effectively in teams and collaborate with stakeholders across different departments. You have eyes for detail.
