Job Summary: The primary goal in the Assembler III’s daily work is to prevent interruptions in warehouse flow. Primary Responsibilities: Work safely in an Assembly/Build environment. Follow detailed verbal/written assembly instructions, processes, and procedures. Read and understand work orders and assembly/build instructions. Prepare and assemble materials and parts using DSI scanners. Move, process, and organize materials and assembled/built products. Operate hand power tools, presses, drills, cranes/hoist and any other required machinery safely and efficiently. Operate Hydro Testing equipment safely and efficiently. Perform quality control checks and verify work order specifications. Properly fill out basic forms, reports, and label products correctly. Be able to communicate and work effectively with others. Report any problems with quality, processes, equipment and material to Supervisor. Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions. Secure orders to be filled, pick goods from stock location using DSI scanners bring to the attention of the Supervisor any item short or questionable. Check products and orders that have been picked and deposited for shipment. Analyze the order to determine proper palletizing and packaging materials to use. Count and pack items. Complete and audit shipping paperwork for proper markings and pallet labels. Verify and post deliveries into system using DSI scanners. Perform stock put –away into rack locations using DSI scanners. Operate automatic stretch wrappers safely and efficiently. Load and unload freight trucks safely and efficiently. Required Skills: Candidates must be available to work all shifts including possible mandatory overtime on weekends. Be able to lift and or move up to 50 lbs. Repetitive standing, bending, turning, and twisting for extended periods of time. Ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot/cold) Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach at arm’s length, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Ability to use power tools, air tools, and other vibratory tools. Must be able to pass a basic aptitude test, physical, with drug/alcohol test and background screen. Knowledge and experience in a warehouse environment. Previous experience in assembly and building setting. 1yr minimum driving experience in sit-down, cherry picker and reach lift is required. 1yr minimum operating experience in cranes/hoist is required.
