Responsibilities will include:
Delivering exceptional customer service with a positive, professional approach and attitude
Being dependable for scheduled shifts
Maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly location at all times
Operating and maintaining all equipment and tools in a safe and reasonable manner
Adhering to all Evergreen Co-op policies and procedures and following all OH&S regulations
Delivering product in a timely manner, ensuring loads are correct and delivered on time
Receiving merchandise as directed by the Lumber Manager
Providing information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer
Ensuring employees maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment where employee’s wellbeing is paramount
Supervising staff to ensure they adhere to staff appearance, housekeeping, loss prevention, and customer service standards
Communicating effectively with the Lumber Manager on any issues that may arise
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
Organizational skills and great time management
Ability to work independently in a team environment
Class 3 license would be an asset
Picker/forklift training would be an asset
Previous retail and lumber experience would be an asset
Working knowledge of hardware, home centre, products, and building supplies is essential
Ability to handle multiple demands at once while providing excellent customer service
Commitment to Co-op’s values and principles
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Previous supervisory experience
