Synopsis of the Role Equifax is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to spearhead innovative batch and data product development using Java and Google Cloud Platform. What You'll do Design, develop, and deploy innovative batch and data products Provide technical direction for Java and GCP implementations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions Implement rigorous testing strategies and optimize performance Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with standards What experience you need Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Proficiency in Java and its ecosystems Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform, including GKE, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, BigQuery Minimum of 7 years in software development, focusing on batch processing and data solutions Exceptional communication and teamwork skills Experience with securely handling sensitive data (PII / PHI) Proven track record of writing defect-free code What could set you apart Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Developer, Professional Data Engineer) Experience with multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) in addition to GCP Proficiency in both Java and Python for versatile development and capabilities Experience in optimizing performance and reducing costs in cloud environments Primary Location: CAN-Toronto-5700 Yonge Function: Function - Tech Dev and Client Services Schedule: Full time At Equifax, we believe knowledge drives progress.
