Our client, one of the big banks in Canada, is looking to hire Reconciliation Officers to help support their team located in the downtown Edmonton area.
Please note - this role is 100% in office in the downtown Edmonton area - and operations on a Monday to Friday morning shift only.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Ensure accurate completion and delivery of reconciliations related to banking services provided to clients.
Manage settlement processes for various banking products, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
Handle high-risk and high-impact financial transactions, including those involving large dollar amounts.
Oversee payment channels that have limited or no recourse, ensuring proper controls are in place.
Process transactions with potential tax implications for clients, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Meet strict deadlines and manage time-sensitive client requests with efficiency and precision.
Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for reconciliation and settlement activities.
Coordinate with third-party service providers to ensure timely and accurate settlements.
Minimize operational and financial risk to the bank through diligent process management.
Maintain signing authority at Level C, executing approvals within authorized limit
Must Have Experience/Skills:
1+ Years of Experience in Reconciliations/Accounting
Advanced Excel Experience (Charts, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Etc.)
Strong Communication Skills (English - Written/Verbal)
